Narcisse2018 - Depth sensor, computer, projector, screen.What are the links between perception of the body and identity?At what point do we stop recognising our altered image? Identity is “the nature of that which, combining various names or features, forms a unique whole or represents a unique, single reality,” it corresponds to the principle whereby “a thing cannot be both itself and its opposite” (online version of Le Trésor de la Langue Française French dictionary).

					What do our gestures and facial
expressions reveal about our
innermost emotions?
In 1978, the psychologists Paul Ekman
and Wallace Friesen developed the
Facial Action Coding System (FACS): a method for analysing and classifying
facial expressions.

Cyclopes2018 - Cameras, robotic arms, electronics, computer.What are the possibilities and conditions for creating an empathic relationship with an object?

Élisabeth Pacherie defines empathy as the “ability to put yourself in someone else’s place through feelings and thoughts, in order to understand what the other person is feeling” (Empathy and its degrees, 2004).

		<description>SplitHow to let people discover code through a simple, collaborative and poetic approach?

	&#60;img width="1600" height="900" width_o="1600" height_o="900" src_o="https://cortex.persona.co/t/original/i/d49d5ac69035820ce617afac172c98d468f1bd070d3889c59d7082ab5271bcae/Split_Lab212.gif" data-mid="445353" border="0" data-scale="100"/&#62;

A pedagogical toolSplit is a pedagogical experience that aims to make code accessible to everyone.

	&#60;img width="3231" height="2414" width_o="3231" height_o="2414" src_o="https://cortex.persona.co/t/original/i/dfc2495f6779ae0b86f01934bfb486c629d1148b9a7b2548c1819e160878ab07/IMG_3547_.jpg" data-mid="445670" border="0" /&#62;&#60;img width="5143" height="3314" width_o="5143" height_o="3314" src_o="https://cortex.persona.co/t/original/i/7b476f0baeb5bfeb1f7e9bf861e16a980cd011a696b12bd76d230bf59d3a158c/IMG_1995_.jpg" data-mid="445596" border="0" /&#62;
	An artistic context
Split was designed for the “Creative Code Party” which took place at Centre Pompidou Paris, in February 2017.&#38;nbsp;
The festival aims to let a large audience discover code through artistic workshops and installations.&#38;nbsp;

	&#60;img width="3809" height="2814" width_o="3809" height_o="2814" src_o="https://cortex.persona.co/t/original/i/a8bae48855e7835340f88095ceb622789d72bb7562a70bdb92ae1a5886d8c0b5/IMG_2097_.jpg" data-mid="445465" border="0" /&#62;
	The idea
By using the metaphor of a tree, Split aims to let a large audience discover code potential and main principles like: variables, fractals, randomness...The screen is splitted in 2 parts: by manipulating the code on the left, the user can discover on the right&#38;nbsp; the result in real-time.

	&#60;img width="4530" height="3151" width_o="4530" height_o="3151" src_o="https://cortex.persona.co/t/original/i/f662ed85cd04e148f9c0c6d6d0f7ef65c5a2bb1d9fe22bc0c6dc9cb24901b622/IMG_2061_.jpg" data-mid="447301" border="0" /&#62;&#60;img width="780" height="1036" width_o="780" height_o="1036" src_o="https://cortex.persona.co/t/original/i/31ff8d851388f1f6fc0d4937acb3b2a802e1fd9c01c808c934c0c2b74d7d63ed/Split_01.gif" data-mid="448236" border="0" /&#62;&#60;img width="1536" height="2048" width_o="1536" height_o="2048" src_o="https://cortex.persona.co/t/original/i/b09a75ba1da84645da82a59503f6c4a53eb0f430f0cd3368356dc0a482f79b04/Split_B.png" data-mid="447093" border="0" /&#62;

2 complementary modesWith no background in code required, the audience can discover and manipulate properties, then try to modify code in a more advanced mode.&#38;nbsp;
MANIPULATE:Discover the potential of code through the manipulation of the tree’s properties.Minimum / medium / maximum.
Black / green /blue.
CODE:Change code properties and values to explore infinite designs.
Minimum / medium / maximum or a value (between 0 and 100)Black / green /blue.

	&#60;img width="5223" height="5223" width_o="5223" height_o="5223" src_o="https://cortex.persona.co/t/original/i/d9dbfef3f8f8f3668230d1d595ee98640a4b8379891fb492270e1ff33ad0b244/_Split.jpg" data-mid="445351" border="0" data-scale="100"/&#62;&#60;img width="780" height="1036" width_o="780" height_o="1036" src_o="https://cortex.persona.co/t/original/i/d7bbdda11bbbe65f2ce691c5ac701783cbb2614868b7522bfe1181345061a12e/Split_02.gif" data-mid="448237" border="0" /&#62;

Endless possibilities

By combining 12 properties and 3 values of a tree:
531 441 trees can be easily designed!

Tree: height, thickness, disturbance, curve.Branches: sections, density, length, angle.Leaves: density, color.Fruits: density, color.

	&#60;img width="1536" height="2048" width_o="1536" height_o="2048" src_o="https://cortex.persona.co/t/original/i/90da0c540769a2a12027096928427530b696e789ac36c66eeb2a16f7949779c5/Split_C.jpg" data-mid="447266" border="0" /&#62;&#60;img width="5058" height="3561" width_o="5058" height_o="3561" src_o="https://cortex.persona.co/t/original/i/806618fc0506efb135cfb8f73e5ecdedfbddae2b9d6bbd659c1c929024842fce/_SplitFrame.jpg" data-mid="447257" border="0" /&#62;
	PrintsParticipants can download a picture of their tree or print it directly from the app.

	&#60;img width="4827" height="3343" width_o="4827" height_o="3343" src_o="https://cortex.persona.co/t/original/i/b5c396dedcc7715fb8e860b339188b2afa5877a0ff725bdbe2a1d560f442109d/IMG_2094_.jpg" data-mid="447381" border="0" /&#62;&#60;img width="1920" height="1200" width_o="1920" height_o="1200" src_o="https://cortex.persona.co/t/original/i/709405589c7d54e15027f24a623c0db9c42fecef24a5cc822350c0f9fa9fec5c/Split_Lab212_Capture_06.png" data-mid="447337" border="0" /&#62;
	Workshop mode
In a workshop mode, each participant can plant his tree in a collaborative forest (by touching “Plant my tree” button).

The &#38;nbsp;videoprojected forest is growing and evolving in real-time, acording to the participant’s contributions (each tree will slowly disappear after 2 minutes long).

Philémon2016 - Music VideoIt's both a portmanteau word and a musical theory but above all it's an album title, “Muance”, which immediatly clearly announces Chapelier Fou's aim to change skin once again while retaining the essential heart of his work.To represent the album as the first single, the song "Philémon" was chosen for its melody and addictive central figure of course but mainly because it perfectly embodies the records overall contents.
